Dermaplaning is also known as epidermal levelling, or blading. It is the removal of the top layer of the skin surface, thur removing dead skin cells and minor skin imperfections. Dermaplaning is also the griots choice for many people who struggle with excess vellus hair (fine blonde facial hair). Not only will it remove vellus hair it is also a form of physical exfoliation.
Dermaplaning is a safe, easy and non-invasive treatment designed to make the skin feel smoother and appear healthier and more youthful. A scalpel handle and 10 gauge scalpel blade is used to gently smooth out the skin.
A common misconception is the facial hair will grow back out darker and thicker after the treatment. This is simply not true! Dermaplaning has no effects on the hair follicles at all and does not effect the regrowth of the hair.
